This Privacy Policy describes how "Sri Lanka Prayer Times" (the "App," "we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with your use of the App. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to the terms described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

Sri Lanka Prayer Times is designed to function with minimal data collection. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, phone number, or precise GPS location.

1.1 Information Stored Locally On Your Device

The App uses Capacitor Preferences (a local on-device storage mechanism) to save the following non-personal preferences directly on your device. This information is never transmitted to us or to any external server:

• Your selected district in Sri Lanka (used to display the correct ACJU prayer timetable)
• Your notification and Adhan alarm preferences
• Your Home Screen Widget configuration and display settings
• App display settings such as theme, language, or calendar preferences

Because this data remains on your device and is not linked to your identity or transmitted to us, it does not constitute personal data collection by the App developer.

1.2 Information We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect your name, email address, or contact details
• We do not collect your precise GPS coordinates. District selection is a manual, user-driven choice used only to display the relevant official prayer timetable
• We do not require account creation, login, or sign-up
• We do not collect or store any biometric, health, or financial information

1.3 Automatically Collected Information via Third-Party Services

While we do not directly collect personal data, third-party services integrated into the App (primarily Google AdMob and Google Play Services) may automatically collect certain technical and usage information for the purposes described in Section 4 below. This may include device identifiers, IP address (used for approximate, non-precise geolocation such as country/region), device type, operating system version, and app usage/interaction data.

2. Permissions Used by the App

The App requests the following device permissions strictly to deliver its core features:

All prayer time calculations are based on official, published ACJU (All Ceylon Jamiyyathul Ulama) timetables for Sri Lankan districts and are processed locally within the App. No location permission requiring precise GPS coordinates is requested for this purpose; you manually select your district from a list.

3. How We Use Information

The limited information described above is used solely to:

• Display accurate prayer times, Qibla direction, and Islamic calendar details for your selected district
• Schedule and deliver local Adhan notifications and reminders based on your preferences
• Sync your selected district and preferences to the Home Screen Widget
• Display advertisements that support the free availability of the App
• Maintain, improve, and troubleshoot the App's functionality

4. Google AdMob Advertising

The App uses Google AdMob, a third-party advertising service provided by Google LLC, to display Banner Ads, Interstitial Ads, and App Open Ads. This helps us keep the App free to use.

AdMob and its partners may collect and use data including, but not limited to:

• Advertising identifiers (such as Android Advertising ID / GAID)
• IP address and approximate, non-precise location (e.g., country or city level)
• Device information (device model, operating system, language settings)
• Cookies, similar tracking technologies, and app usage/interaction data
• Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks, and engagement with ads)

This data is used by Google and its advertising partners to serve personalized or non-personalized advertisements and to measure ad performance, in accordance with Google's advertising policies. Where required (for example, for users in the European Economic Area, the UK, and Switzerland), the App implements consent mechanisms compliant with Google's EU User Consent Policy and applicable regulations such as the GDPR, allowing you to provide or withhold consent for personalized advertising.

• Capacitor Framework and Plugins (including Capacitor Preferences, Local Notifications, and related native plugins) — used for on-device local storage, scheduling exact alarms, and delivering local notifications

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties beyond the integrations described in this policy.

6. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade any information to third parties. We do not share personal information because we do not collect any. Limited technical data collected by Google AdMob and Google Play Services is shared with and processed directly by Google in accordance with Google's own privacy policy, as described in Sections 4 and 5 above.

7. Data Security

Since your district selection and app preferences are stored locally on your device using Capacitor Preferences rather than on any remote server we control, this data benefits from the security protections built into your device's operating system. We recommend keeping your device's operating system and security settings up to date.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

All locally stored preferences (such as your selected district and notification settings) remain on your device until you clear the App's data/cache or uninstall the App, at which point this information is permanently deleted from your device. We do not retain any copies of this data, as it is never transmitted to us.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The App does not include ads specifically targeted at children, and any ads served are governed by Google's policies regarding child-directed treatment where applicable. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

10. Your Rights and Choices

• You can change or clear your selected district and notification preferences at any time from within the App
• You can manage ad personalization via your device's ad settings or Google's Ads Settings page (see Section 4)
• You can disable notifications at any time through your device's system settings
• You can uninstall the App at any time, which will remove all locally stored data associated with the App

If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, California, or another jurisdiction with specific data protection laws, you may have additional rights regarding data processed by third-party services such as Google AdMob. 11. International Data Transfers

Technical data collected by Google AdMob and Google Play Services may be processed on servers located outside of Sri Lanka, including in the United States and other countries where Google operates data centers. Google maintains appropriate safeguards for such transfers in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, features, or legal requirements. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
